NORTHCUTT LAW FIRM

Privacy Policy

Northcutt, Clark, Oldfield & Jech · Last updated 10 October 2026

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit northcuttlawfirm.com, who receives it, and how to reach us about it. It covers this website only. It does not cover information you give the Firm by telephone, by post, or in person, and it does not change the duties of confidentiality the Firm owes its clients.

Contacting the Firm through this website

This website has no contact form, no newsletter sign-up and no client portal. There is nowhere on it to submit your name, your email address, your telephone number or any detail of a legal matter, and nothing of that kind is collected here.

If you telephone or write to the Firm using the details on the contact page, that correspondence is handled by the Firm directly and is not governed by this website policy. Please do not send confidential information about a legal matter before an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing. Contacting the Firm does not by itself create one.

What this website collects

Visiting any website causes your browser to send technical information to the servers that deliver it. For this site that means your IP address, the type of browser and device you are using, the pages you request, the time of each request, and the page that referred you if you arrived from a link.

This information is used to keep the site available and secure and to understand which pages visitors find useful. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is never sold.

Services that receive information

Some parts of this site are provided by other companies. When your browser loads them, it contacts those companies directly and they receive your IP address and basic browser information. They are:

  • Cloudflare — hosts and delivers this website and protects it from attack. Cloudflare processes the IP address of every visitor as part of doing so.
  • Google Analytics — measures how the site is used: which pages are visited, for how long, and from roughly which region. The Firm has configured it to shorten visitor IP addresses before they are stored. Google receives this data and handles it under its own privacy policy.
  • Google Maps — the map on the contact page is supplied by Google and loads when that page is opened.
  • Super Lawyers and Martindale-Hubbell — the professional rating badges on the attorney pages are served by these organisations and run their own code when those pages are opened. They may set their own cookies.

Links to lawyers.com, superlawyers.com and martindale.com take you to websites the Firm does not operate or control. This policy stops at the edge of this site.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit apart from another, and the rating badges described above may set cookies belonging to those organisations.

Every current browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and refuse new ones, usually under Settings, Privacy. Refusing them does not stop you using this website: nothing here requires a cookie to work.

How long information is kept

Website analytics are retained by Google for fourteen months from your last visit and are then deleted. Server and security logs held by Cloudflare are kept for short periods, measured in days, under Cloudflare’s own retention schedule. Because this site collects no names or contact details, there is no visitor record for the Firm itself to retain.

Your rights

You may ask what information this website holds about you, ask for it to be deleted, or ask that your visits no longer be measured. Write to the Firm at the address below, or telephone, and say which you want.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across every website that uses it by installing Google’s own opt-out browser add-on, and most browsers offer a “do not track” setting and private browsing modes that limit what is recorded.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults seeking legal representation. It is not directed at children under thirteen, and the Firm does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please contact the Firm and it will be removed.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here and the date at the top of the page will be updated. The date shown is always the date the current version took effect.
